Acer palmatum ‘Emperor One’

Are you looking for a beautiful new addition to your landscape? Do you like the deep red-purples of the Bloodgood Japanese Maples, but just don’t have the space? Well then, you might be interested in the Emperor One. The Emperor One, also known as the Emperone 1, Emperor, Emperor 1, and the Wolff, has vibrant red-purple leaves and can grow to a max height of 15′ at maturity. Compared to the Bloodgood Japanese Maple, this cultivar leafs-out later in the spring making it more suitable for colder climates that experience late spring freezes. While the Emperor One can be planted in a full sun environment, its’ bold summer color thrives when planted in partial shade making it the perfect centerpiece for most small yards.
